The National Vice Chairman South East of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Senatorial Candidate of the Party in Enugu East Senatorial Zone in the 2019 general elections, Mr. Uche Nwegbo, have said that the party will not hesitate to sanction anyone found to be associated with any clandestine conduct in the party, stating that such untoward move if left uncheckmated could create unnecessary distractions in the party within the zone.
In a statement signed by Mr. Nwegbo and made available to APGA New Media in Awka, Nwegbo noted that the activities of those he described as agents of destabilization had become recurring decimal, especially each time the Anambra governorship election was around the corner.
His words ‘Their evil and mendacious scheming has always been to instigate frivolous and baseless litigation against the leadership of the party to create false impression of crises.
‘We are satisfied with the unprecedented heights the party has attained under the leadership of the National Chairman, Dr. Victor Oye,’ he said.
According to Nwegbo, ‘the five state chairmen and the assistant national officers of the party in South East, including NWC members have all expressed unalloyed support and loyalty to the National Leader of the party, His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State and the smooth sail, which the National Working Committee (NWC) is enjoying under the Oye leadership.
‘We will continue to solidly stand behind the National Leader and the National Chairman for the growth of our great Party. We must not allow unreliable detractors and political wolves to distract them in any way in the present political situation in the Country”.
‘It’s unfortunate that all those who pass comments and publish all manner of falsehoods on the pages of newspapers today against this party are the greatest beneficiaries of the party. The motive behind them, can only be mischief.
‘All Progressives Grand Alliance as a political party has no room for evil minded political jobbers who want to retrograde the party,’ he concluded.
