The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Willie Obiano on APGA Affairs and the Coordinator of APGA New Media, Hon. Nnanna Nzewi (Otabilionyenwanne ya), today, Wednesday, 29th April 2020 distributed food items worth thousands of Naira to select households in Awada, Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries, Hon. Nzewi expressed gratitude to God for gift of life and what He had used the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Sir. Willie Obiano (Akpokue Dike Global) to do in Anambra State, noting that he was inspired by the APGA Fights COVID-19 Initiative of the national chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye (Ozochikwadolu Amawbia).

According to Hon. Nzewi, he was deeply touched and motivated by the way and manner the APGA national chairman, the entire National Working Committee (NWC) and the State Working Committee (SWC) of APGA led by Sir Norbert Obi (Ugobueze) reached out to the poorest of the poor regardless of political leanings and affiliations.

The APGA New Media Coordinator said he was in Awada to comfort and support his people materially, financially and otherwise at this trying time, saying that the beneficiaries were drawn from the seven pooling booths in Awada, Obosi.

The Nnewi born politician and businessman paid a glowing tribute to his Father, Chief Osita Nzewi (Ugwunnia), even as he described him as his political mentor and teacher

His words, ‘My father taught me politics; he didn’t just teach me politics, he taught me how to play it by the rules. I could remember vividly how he carried me, a little boy, on his shoulders to go and receive the Late Biafran Warlord, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Ikemba). That was how I became interested in politics. It didn’t just end there, my Dad ensured that I grew through the ranks. I cannot thank him enough,’ Nzewi.

The former Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Liaison appealed all presence to also reach out others in their vicinity, emphasizing that it would not be out of place if the beneficiaries would equally share with those they were better than in their various yards and streets.

Governor Willie Obiano’s Aide called on well-to-do individuals in the area to reach out to the destitute, downtrodden, and less privileged around them, stating that it was in giving that they would receive.

He assured the beneficiaries that the issue of the pandemic would definitely come to an end, urging them not to despair. Hon. Nzewi took his eulogized media practitioners, especially journalists for what they were doing in society, describing journalism job as a very tedious and tasking job.

Hon. Nzewi while distributing the items announced that he had offered scholarship to Miss Paradise Nwachukwu, the daughter of Late Emeka Nwachukwu who died sometime ago in ghastly auto accident alongside his Boss, Late Kenneth Okonkwo (Agunecheibe).

He said that he would see to her primary education, noting that it was part of his contribution towards assisting the poor widow, Mrs Chinwe Nwachukwu who also benefited fromo Hon. Nnanna Nzewi’s COVID-19 palliative.

In their separate speeches, some of the beneficiaries, Miss Nsofor; Miss Chinwe Ezebube, and a batch C Corps member, Oluwatosi thanked Hon. Nnanna Nzewi for his kind disposition, praying God to replenish his purse bountifully.

Items shared included cash gift, bags of Rice, bags of beans, tubers of yams, Face masks, among other edibles.

Words of appreciation, praise and worship, distribution of items, awarding of scholarship, and comment from the leader of APGA in Awada Chief Sir. Osita Nzewi, the father of Hon. Nnanna Nzewi formed the highpoints of the event.
